Just to let you know, I am not lost. Life has been a rollercoaster since my last blog, but I'm still riding. Always riding.

Rolling through it all. Trying to figure out some things and keep my head above water while still smiling and being positive.

I do want to touch base and thank everyone who has recently subscribed. Let's keep those numbers going up up up! Nothing but love and gratitude. Back this week with a blog full of things. Ups, downs, and everything!

Just stick with me as I try to get it all together in my head and try to put it together in written form... called the next blog.

Wishing everyone all the peace and happiness until my next blog (in the next couple days). Thanks again so much for the support and love. It means the world and then some...

Sending Hugs!

Hi Audience... ladies and gentlemen!

Boy has it been hard getting my mojo together (aka my act) to bring myself to do this blog! Well, first things first... let me say thank you to the 40+ subscribers that I have so far (hey, it's a start!) It makes me hopeful! First goal would be to shoot for 100. Hey, you know, one can aim for the stars! As I am fighting to open this bottle of wine while I am trying to start this blog... I think I am getting it!

AW, dang it! Stupid CORK! I used to have a cork opener, but I think someone took it! How the heck do you get a bottle of wine open? As my friend tells me, she'll bring one of her extras when she sees me next... next century... busy lives happen.

However, this week, last week, busy working and trying so hard to get motivated...

but it's been good busy weeks. Lot's of errands in between work and some added self care in the mix (because we all know that's important!) So, let me tell you, along with a couple of my favorite wines, this past week or so, I found this new nail care "clinic." It's absolutely amazing and all natural, pedicures and manicures only. It's called Atir (https://www.atirnncc.com/). Your first manicure is complementary! PEFECT! Ask for Amy! She's amazing!!

Secondly, I have been frequenting CaryTown Teas. They have a ton to choose from, and the ladies are absolutely fabulous! One of my favorites so far has been the Versailles Lavender Earl Grey with two teaspoons of vegan honey and steamed coconut milk. Check them out here: https://www.carytownteas.com/

AMAZING!

After that, I also found this AMAZING place in the heart of the West End, Short Pump Restore Hyper Wellness. OMG. Everyone needs to visit at least once! Great environment, clean and cozy! Ask for Vivian if you decide to go for a visit. You guys should really treat yourself at least once to all three places! https://restore.com/

Please click on all of the links for additional helpful information!! Self love is important, guys! It's okay to take some ME Time!

Oh, and while I am in the mood for sharing things for self care, let me throw in Apothec. It's an all natural herbs and health store... plus more! Of course, again, the ladies are amazing, and Trish (the owner) is wonderful! Go visit her on Libbie Avenue and then stop by Libbie Market for lunch! (Look at me scheduling your day! You will appreciate the pampering... I promise! It's for ladies and gentlemen!)

Most of these links that I have shared are local small businesses! I think that it's important to always support small businesses! I personally like the personal experience and small intimate atmosphere that your local neighborhood small businesses always offer. I, like many others, have discovered most of these small businesses by accident or just by exploring for something different. Richmond really has a ton to offer! So far, I am a fan, or you could say, now a frequent customer...and a happy one at that!

To top it all off, I was gifted (I AM SO HAPPY), an Electric Fireplace! I can't wait to put it up! Pictures to come!! Yippee!!

My next chore to get done is to get some work done on my chair and see if I can get a better cushion. I believe that I wore mine out! I think that I am getting a pressure sore, and that, ladies and gentlemen, has been a downfall for the most part of the past month! It is not fun! It is hard to get comfortable in a chair that is no longer a good fit as far as the cushion is concerned. Andy is my guy over at National Seating and Mobility Richmond, and he's going to help me out! So, I am looking forward to better "bottom" days (a little humor for you there, but in all seriousness, I am so looking forward to better bottom days).

Onward to Monday! Yes, Monday.... let's conquer it! Unless, you are off, in observance for MLK Jr. Day! That being said, good for you! Enjoy! I hope that you are productive in whatever you do! Nevertheless, Monday starts a brand new week for us to conquer our goals and complete our chores along with errands and to pay it forward with kindness and hope for better and brighter days, weeks, and months ahead. So, let's keep a mindset of being good humans and doing our part to help each other out and help each other up! Always start by sharing your smile whenever you can! Even though I know it's a little bit more challenging right now with us having to wear these masks, but it's better than the alternative... so still do it!! I pray that good things happen for you guys and girls this week! I pray for the sun to shine brightly this week! Because for me, it feeds my soul, and I love it! Plus, you are more motivated when you see sunshine! At least I am! I believe it's a proven fact! You all can check it too if you don't believe me (wink)!

Let me start to close it right here. Would you believe that when I started this blog tonight, I really wasn't sure what to even talk about? I didn't know if I was even going to write a blog... but here it is! With that being said, for now, I am going to send you guys all of my love, and I am forever thankful for all of your support! I know I sound like a broken record when I say this over and over, but it really means a lot. I hope you guys stick with me! I have a paid account now, so hopefully I can try some new things out and try to get some more followers! All of your feedback is always welcomed. Comments are great! Shares are the best! Virtual hugs to all of you! Until the next blog...

Inhale, Exhale, and Feel Your Inner Peace!

Well... Happy New Year!

How is everyone feeling? How did you ring in the New Year? I know that for all of us, it looked completely different this year!

But guess what guys... it's a new year! With that comes many things to be grateful and thankful for! If you are reading this, that means COVID did not get you, and that, my friend, is a blessing within itself. My heart goes out to all of the families that are not bringing the new year in with a loved one because of COVID. New Year Resolutions... I don't think I have any. I think that they are totally overrated and no one really follows them anyway! Am I right? Goals-- yeah, I have a couple. I like to go by this list.

2021- This year I will start remembering to do self care more often. I will quit letting other things and individuals as well as certain surroundings influence me in a not so positive way. While learning to stay focused on where I want to go and how I want to get there. Trying, perhaps, things that take me out of my comfort zone but for the better. Being more aware of my truth. Eat my vegan diet and having more will power to stick to it and really kick it in the butt. Improve my social circle with like minded individuals while making new friends and memories. Finally, give more of my time to doing more for the community and the environment.... and everything in between that is for good... This is just a simple list I put down on paper to be able to look at physically and to keep as a reminder if I find myself going astray.

I can't forget, of course, that I definitely want to add more adventure to my life. That's

one of my main goals! I know that we are still in COVID times, and this still has to be

taken very seriously, but those of us who have made it this far should not let it crush

your hope, and we should not let it take over our lives, our goals, or our outlook for a

better year because if you are reading this, you made it this far! I am proud of each

and every one of you. We can live our lives. We just have to go about it with more

precautions and be mindful of out surroundings and other individuals. With that being

said, let this year begin because... man, I am going to kill it! I mean that. In a good way,

of course! I am going to live life for me. I am going to do me the best way I know how,

and I am going to learn along the way. I have this new excitement that has come out of

nowhere. I honestly have no clue why it's here, but I am SO happy that it is.

I can't wait for things to start taking place! God's will, of course! I have a good feeling in the pit of my stomach that this year will be a comeback for many. This year will be a

new normal, and it will probably take a good while for the people as a whole to get back to where we were if it is God's will. He may have other plans. We have to learn how to move forward with the norm that is now, and we have to be the change that we want to see and work together to get where we want to be. One day at a time.... but I am excited for a new year, and I hope that you guys are at peace and can look forward to this year and see nothing but positive ahead. Let's do this! Let's get through this pandemic that we still have going on. It's still here, but a lot of us have made it this far and YOU should be proud of yourselves. Don't let yourself lose focus though. Do your part to help you, your family, and those around you to move forward and stay focused on what they want to achieve this year. You can do it! Let's believe in each other! Let's believe in the good of people! Let's know that God has our back and he will not let us bear more than we can handle. May the tears that you cried in 2020 water the seeds that you are planting in 2021. (not my quote, quote unknown, but I liked it, so there it is!)

I hope that you guys ate your black eyed peas and stewed tomatoes to bring in the new year, or whatever traditions you may have. I am sending a million tons of love to all of you and pray that God showers you with an abundance of blessings continuously this year. As I like to do in most of my blogs, I send you virtual hugs and I hope that we can be in each other's company safely sooner than later. As I always like to say, thank you for continued support. Share, like, and comment. Feedback is always welcome. Until the next blog, take care and be good to one another and strangers (using your best judgement).

Cheers!

~Kamie~
