Well... Happy New Year!
How is everyone feeling? How did you ring in the New Year? I know that for all of us, it looked completely different this year!
But guess what guys... it's a new year! With that comes many things to be grateful and thankful for! If you are reading this, that means COVID did not get you, and that, my friend, is a blessing within itself. My heart goes out to all of the families that are not bringing the new year in with a loved one because of COVID. New Year Resolutions... I don't think I have any. I think that they are totally overrated and no one really follows them anyway! Am I right? Goals-- yeah, I have a couple. I like to go by this list.
2021- This year I will start remembering to do self care more often. I will quit letting other things and individuals as well as certain surroundings influence me in a not so positive way. While learning to stay focused on where I want to go and how I want to get there. Trying, perhaps, things that take me out of my comfort zone but for the better. Being more aware of my truth. Eat my vegan diet and having more will power to stick to it and really kick it in the butt. Improve my social circle with like minded individuals while making new friends and memories. Finally, give more of my time to doing more for the community and the environment.... and everything in between that is for good... This is just a simple list I put down on paper to be able to look at physically and to keep as a reminder if I find myself going astray.
I can't forget, of course, that I definitely want to add more adventure to my life. That's
one of my main goals! I know that we are still in COVID times, and this still has to be
taken very seriously, but those of us who have made it this far should not let it crush
your hope, and we should not let it take over our lives, our goals, or our outlook for a
better year because if you are reading this, you made it this far! I am proud of each
and every one of you. We can live our lives. We just have to go about it with more
precautions and be mindful of out surroundings and other individuals. With that being
said, let this year begin because... man, I am going to kill it! I mean that. In a good way,
of course! I am going to live life for me. I am going to do me the best way I know how,
and I am going to learn along the way. I have this new excitement that has come out of
nowhere. I honestly have no clue why it's here, but I am SO happy that it is.
I can't wait for things to start taking place! God's will, of course! I have a good feeling in the pit of my stomach that this year will be a comeback for many. This year will be a
new normal, and it will probably take a good while for the people as a whole to get back to where we were if it is God's will. He may have other plans. We have to learn how to move forward with the norm that is now, and we have to be the change that we want to see and work together to get where we want to be. One day at a time.... but I am excited for a new year, and I hope that you guys are at peace and can look forward to this year and see nothing but positive ahead. Let's do this! Let's get through this pandemic that we still have going on. It's still here, but a lot of us have made it this far and YOU should be proud of yourselves. Don't let yourself lose focus though. Do your part to help you, your family, and those around you to move forward and stay focused on what they want to achieve this year. You can do it! Let's believe in each other! Let's believe in the good of people! Let's know that God has our back and he will not let us bear more than we can handle. May the tears that you cried in 2020 water the seeds that you are planting in 2021. (not my quote, quote unknown, but I liked it, so there it is!)
I hope that you guys ate your black eyed peas and stewed tomatoes to bring in the new year, or whatever traditions you may have. I am sending a million tons of love to all of you and pray that God showers you with an abundance of blessings continuously this year. As I like to do in most of my blogs, I send you virtual hugs and I hope that we can be in each other's company safely sooner than later. As I always like to say, thank you for continued support. Share, like, and comment. Feedback is always welcome. Until the next blog, take care and be good to one another and strangers (using your best judgement).
Cheers!
~Kamie~
