Blogging about nothing else but the genius... PRINCE! THE GENIUS!!

So. Monday June 7th, 2021 that is.... This was a day that I actually took off of work! Prince's Birthday! Now considered Prince Day since his passing in 2016. In the purple world, we consider this a very important day that represents everything purple love.

My day started off getting up and actually putting on clothes out of my closet-a skirt and a really pretty tank top. I haven't put on actual clothes in (I'm embarrassed to say, unless you consider work clothes).. eyeroll... Anyhow off subject... Sorry!!

So, fast forward, I made my way to Carytown to get my favorite Earl Gray Lavender Tea with honey and oat milk! Then, I proceeded to go to this little store that is fantastic and wasn't planning on getting balloons, but ended up picking out 3! So, there you go... I picked up two different color purple ones and a clear one that I got them to put confetti inside! Yay!! But as you can see in the picture above, there are only two balloons... sad face :(

So, as I was leaving the store with the balloons, one immediately came untied and flew away. Far far far up into the white clouds. Wouldn't you know, it was the prettiest one of them all? For about 2.5 seconds, I was completely disappointed. Then, I stopped and said well, Prince, I hope this makes it right to you! Happy You Day! So then, it wasn't so disappointing with that thought!

I wanted to get the balloons for my lunch outing with another lovely purple one. It was just her and I at P.F. Changs. Nothing big, fancy, or out of the way! We just met for lunch because it was Prince's birthday! We both adore Prince! That is what the common denominator is! This purple community "Prince" community expands all over the world! It's amazing. The majority of it started via Facebook and Prince groups! That's how it took off! Amazing how people can connect from all over the world and have this one thing in common if nothing else... which leads me to missing Minnesota terribly right now... because at this very moment, there are all kinds of purple people from all over the world coming together to one state to finally be able (after the year that we have all had) to come together and celebrate Purple and meet new people and make new friendships. Lord, how I wish I was there right now! Next year... crossing my fingers.. God bless you Prince for bringing so many people together! Surrounded by one purpose... LOVE! Love God! Love One Another! Bleed Purple! Help one another up and help one another out! This is what you embodied. Here on Earth and I believe now in the sky!

Here are some more pictures from today! I just decided to decorate our table just a little bit while we had lunch! I had tofu lettuce wraps, by the way! They were good! Thank you, Kathy for inviting me and for your company! It was nice not to be alone and to be able to do something on Prince Day! P.S. I hope someone gives me a record player, maybe for a gift... I don't know! I would love to play this 45 on an actual record player. I found this record at Crossroad Records at Stony Point! Pretty cool! There you have it, this is how I did Prince Day this year! To all Purple People, enjoy your festivities wherever you are, in Minnesota, I want to send my love all the way over there and in hopes that I will make it to the Purple Mecca next year! I would love to meet all of you guys. To all of those who had nowhere and no one to celebrate Prince Day with, I celebrate with you right here through this blog!
